Our Story

We’re Charlotte and Natalie, a qualified teacher & Midwife, friends and the founders of Smart Hands Studio—a creative woodwork studio for children. We’ve built a space where children can explore, create and learn through hands-on, child-led experiences that truly value their voices.

Our sessions focus on meaningful learning, independence and creativity, giving children the freedom to build confidence in their own ideas and abilities. Smart Hands has grown from a shared passion to give children the opportunity to learn in a way that feels natural, engaging, and genuinely theirs.

DBS CHECKED

All adults working at Smart Hands Studio hold an enhanced DBS check, ensuring they are suitable to work with children. This is part of our commitment to creating a safe, trusted, and professional environment where children can explore and learn with confidence.

SAFEGUARDING

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at Smart Hands Studio. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where every child feels secure, valued, and heard. All staff are trained in safeguarding, with a designated safeguarding officer in place to manage any concerns and ensure the correct procedures are followed at all times.

               FIRST AID

First aid is a key part of keeping children safe at Smart Hands Studio. We have trained staff on site with Paediatric First Aid qualifications, ensuring we are prepared to respond quickly and confidently to any incidents. This helps create a safe environment where children can explore and take part in hands-on activities with confidence.
